So how is everyone?  Can you believe it is May?  Here in Philadelphia our weather has been bi-polar.  80 one day and 50 and raining the next.  The flowers are popping and the trees are filling out and I am so excited I saw 2 blue birds on Monday.  Of course I went to get my camera and frightened them off….

I have a May 15th deadline for some final decisions for “Bristol boyz Stomp”.  I am stressed to say the least.  I am however also very excited.  I am trying to enjoy every step of the process and take my lovely editor Hilary’s advice and take my time and not stress…

My friend Rebecca Rasmussan released her first novel “The Bird Sisters” and She is nearing Rock Star Status:)  The book looks beautiful and the story is just so touching and honestly the most original story I’ve read in such a long time.   I highly recommend the novel.  Check it out here : http://www.thebirdsisters.com

Doreen and Rebecca

Here my Granddaughter Allyson and I joined Rebecca at Penn State for a reading.  We had an amazing time .  Check her schedule she just may be coming to a book store near you…

So; I think I told you we recorded the music for the trailer for “Bristol boyz Stomp” (If you have not heard the song scroll back to my H post for Heaven).  I would love to know what you think.  There is news about that also but that will be a full post.

We had a memorial scheduled for my brother and other victims of violence scheduled for April 28th, in the Victims Memorial Arbor and Gazebo.  Prior to the Memorial Service the production team was going to do some filming in the park and then just add a few shots from the service.  For the first time in 12 years the service was canceled.  We had tornado warnings.  Our very brave film crew had all kinds of covers for their equipment and decided to go ahead anyway.  I was very upset for so many reasons.  They ended up getting the shots they needed and I did the voice overs.  It was exciting and I cannot wait to see the trailer:)

Of course April was also the anniversary of my husband John’s son’s suicide.  You can see those details under books.  Book #2.

A wonderfully beautiful, talented and special for so many reasons young woman, Melissa Ann Hopely, provided the forward for the book.  If you have time check the folder up top under forward.  She is truly an inspiration.

My Granddaughter Adriana will be turning 2 on the 29th.  I am so teary; it just goes so fast. As if that isn’t enough Peyton Elizabeth will be a year old on June 1st.  My nephew Baron and nice Ava just turned 3 & 5.  I was there when they took their first breaths and I was heartbroken that I was very sick with a cold and stomach bug and missed a great party.  I cannot wait to catch up with them next week.
