Its time for Friday Fragments and as usual (lately) I’m late but technically it is 3:30 p.m. on Friday so here I go…

It’s HOT in Philadelphia and from what I’m hearing it’s pretty much HOT everywhere. I love it (usually) but while recovering from jaw surgery it is a bit much. L The inside of my car registered 111 degrees. For some reason I cannot seem to remember, I have remote start and can cool the car off before I have to leave. Duh!

wet feet                                                            Wishful thinking

My surgery went better than my doctors expected. The pain is manageable but wow, I am starving. Do you have any ideas for soft, gluten free foods? I am getting tired of eggs, jello, pudding, milkshakes, soup and potatoes.

I am on hold with the water company. Every two seconds a recording tells me how many callers are ahead of me. Its been five callers for like twenty minutes. We had a leak and the rep that was here to find the leak told me to call customer service for a leak credit. J I did not even know I had a leak it was nothing we could see, our bill was a bit higher than normal so they offered to come check it out. We avoided a much bigger problem. I will try to keep that in mind as I wait…

A squirrel fell out of our tree and died. I’m so traumatized, poor little suburban rat.

So, who is anxiously waiting for the royal baby? I know it is silly but I’m excited. As a grandmother, I am feeling sad for William that his mother is not here. I kind of want them to have a girl.

The news media, talk shows, newspapers and some blogs have me so stressed out. That may explain my ever growing fascination with reality TV. You know because it is SO not reality. While stuck in bed recovering from surgery I watched seven episodes of ‘I’m pregnant and so is my Teen’. First of all did you ever know anyone who was pregnant the same time as their daughter? Some of the stories were beautiful but oh my, some were heartbreaking.

John and I discovered a show called Hell on Wheels. It is based on a true story, set in the time of expanding the railroad west. We both like the show. The new season starts in August.

What are you watching?

Have a great weekend,

Doreen
