I know it is dangerous and messy but I cannot help myself I think snow and ice are beautiful; especially if you get to stay in and write all day. (which I do not) but a girl can dream…

More From “Bristol boyz Stomp” {Tate} summer 2011
The Judge agreed to a hearing to have the new evidence presented. We had to stand in the hallway outside the courtroom. There was another proceeding going on. The Galione family was there. Every one of them showed up. They looked as if they had won some kind of a battle. They actually believed this new evidence was going to free their golden boy. It is still beyond me how they had no shred of remorse or compassion. I also saw Jerry Reeves family in the hall. I had no real animosity against them except for their attempt to use the race card. They had at least offered us condolences for our loss. They too looked victorious. As if they had already won the battle. It was a small hallway towards the side of the courthouse. It was not the large round hallway we were used too. The one where we could sort of separate ourselves from the enemy family’s. In this hall we were in close proximity. It was suffocating. Bonnie Reeves, Jerry’s mother was standing very close to me. With a huge smile on her face she looked at me and asked if they had brought the boys in yet. I felt sick. She acted like a giddy teenager waiting to get a glimpse of a couple of rock stars. Am I crazy? Do any of these people get the fact that these guys are vicious killers?
The hearing was very brief. A young woman was put on the stand and told the judge her recollection of being at a party in Philadelphia. She said she walked into the kitchen and saw a person, a person she recognized as Mike Good, describing and demonstrating how he kicked and stomped David, repeatedly on the head. The defense attorney’s immediately argued for the release of their clients due to this new evidence. I glared at Judge Heckler and was panicked. There was no way he would even consider releasing them? We would all have to wait. The Judge was not making a decision today. I would have loved to see Good arrested right there and led off in handcuffs to jail. I believed the girls story. I believed Good had been bragging and I definitely believed he kicked; no actually I believe he stomped on David’s head, many times.
A few weeks before this hearing or any news of the hearing I had a dream. I was sleeping and I opened my eyes and looked up at my ceiling. David was sitting on a swing that was hanging from my ceiling. I asked him who the actual killers were. He answered that it was Reeves and Galione and it was good. I started screaming at him. What do you mean it was good? None of this is good. It is so bad; please stay with me I want to talk to you. With that he was gone. It wasn’t until the next morning that I put the “name” Good together. Was I dreaming or had I finally seen the ghost I had desperately been waiting to see? It was just odd that shortly after that night we were told of the witness and the hearing. Dream or not I was convinced Mike Good was as guilty as the other two.
