I really have no idea where this week has gone. What I do know is outside there is a LOT of snow and it is quite beautiful to look at from where I sit now but boy oh boy navigating is tough (more so on foot than in the car).
I also cannot believe it has been 25 years since I was sitting in a rocking chair snuggling my 5 year old Jillian as we anxiously awaited the launch of the first teacher in space. I knew immediately there was a problem and tried of course to hide that from my little one. She was too smart for that. We were both just stunned. There was no kindergarten that day, we just sort of hung out and we were sad. If I close my eyes it feels like yesterday. God bless the families that are remembering this tragedy this week.
So my post about the Tuscon shooting was in our local paper yesterday; I was a little excited because it has been a long time since I wrote features for a newspaper. It received some nice comments and now I will be doing a series on Sophie (our homeless woman) and the hoops I have been jumping through to have a placed in a decent facility. They are actually attempting to count the homeless people in our county….I really cannot even imagine how that can be done…
I received an e-mail from my publishers marketing director…he said I should consider creating a blog and a facebook page…I love it when I am prepared 🙂 my blog is a year old this month.
I am slowly getting this sight in shape I have added a blog roll, finally but I have so many more to add; I will be working on that this weekend.

Adriana is very unhappy that her Eagles did not make it to the Superbowl and she has to wear a Steeler’s shirt…seriously what was her Mom thinking?
Adriana loves her new puppy Creed; my daughter says Marley has nothing on this dog….oh my!
