Writing Wednesday
On Wednesdays I like to share information, stuff I learned on my journey of writing, being published and marketing two (almost 3) books!
Writing Conferences
It’s that exciting time of year again, the time when writers with a dream and writers that are living the dream come together to network, share and most importantly to learn from and support each other. Many years ago when I was dreaming of becoming a writer I attended the Philadelphia Writers Conference. Back then word processors were the ‘new thing.’
Even now with a career in writing and consulting I still look forward to attending. I never want to be that person that stops learning, no matter where I am in my career.
I am really excited this year because I will be faculty! I’m presenting a 3-day-workshop ‘The Good, the Bad, and the Truth of Writing and Selling Memoir’
This year you also have the opportunity to attend several of these workshops: Creating Characters Readers will Love; How to get Published, Storytelling Craft for Journalists, Memoirists & Other Non-fiction Writers, Thrilled to Death, The Good, the Bad, and the Truth of Writing and Selling Memoir, Tempest in a Teacup: Writing the Short Short Story, Screenwriting: Challenging the Odds, Using Fiction to Capture Truth, The Fundamentals of Writing Kid Lit, Non-Fiction: The Newspaper Column as Magical Mystery Tour, Turn Toward Me: Writing Social Commentary in Poetry.
AND most excitingly if you are ready you will have the chance to pitch an agent! I know many writers that were signed as a result of pitching at this conference!
I highly recommend this small, inspiring and educational in a big way conference.

Sounds like a fun conference! I do need to come but have a busy year of travel, maybe next year?
Next year is going to be a good one too!
Loved the conference last year. Not sure if I can go this year.
You will be missed!
I miss these when you don’t do them. I wonder if you’ll repeat some of them some weeks…always good to remind ourselves.
Realize Your Writing Dreams- the book based on the Writing Wednesday blog posts will be out this summer!
Congratulations on being faculty! That is so cool!
Thank you!
