I still think of Fraggle Rock every time I write my Friday Fragments. The song remains in my head for at least three days after each post.
Friday Fragments are bits and pieces of your week that are usually brief; too short for a stand-alone post, but too good to discard. Collect humorous observations, “Heard” items, and other small gems (hint: a notebook is helpful) and put them together in a Friday Fragments post. Then leave a link to your Friday Fragments post with Linky Tools and link back to our host Mrs. 4444 at Half-Past Kissin’ Time.

Last Sunday John and I decided to take a motorcycle ride to the shore. It was a perfect day for the long ride. The beach weather was as close to perfect as it could be. As far as we could see along the shore line there were nieces, nephews and in-laws that we haven’t seen in a year. I didn’t take one picture.
From there we stopped into the Deauville Inn to meet up with my six-sister-in-laws for a drink and a little music and then to the Ocean City boardwalk for some Mack & Manco’s pizza. We crave that stuff.
The ride home was long. We may not have been able to get away for the whole week this year but the day was so needed.
Not Fun- I have been going through a series of surgeries on my jaw and yesterday at a routine appointment they found an infection and a random bone fragment. Ouch! Three more surgeries in the coming months and hopefully done, finally.
On Good Day Philadelphia this morning Jenn Fredd did a segment on some of the fashion items men dislike immensely. Hmmm. Platform flip- flops a big turn-off along with crop tops on women over the age of sixteen. Disliked by men the most is the one piece shorts romper. My flip-flops are flat. Do we agree? Do we care?
Apparently there is a bit of not so nice in me. On this week’s episode of 24 Jack finally caught up with a very dark and evil terrorist woman and instead of handcuffing her and turning her over to the CIA, he picked her up and tossed her out the window. I cheered so loud the neighborhood dogs barked. I might have had a bit of empathy for her if the evil biotch hadn’t cut her own daughters finger off and shot her son-in-law last week.
I started a new feature here, Writing Wednesday’s. If you ever felt like you had a story to tell check out the first post here:

Have a blessed weekend and dance your life away and save your worries for another day:)

Wow, hope the surgeries go well…. And funny thing, I have a few flip flop musings of my own. We should talk! Keep those ‘frags’ coming!
Thank you! Yes hope we can get together soon…
Ouch! Hope your future surgeries turn out well.
Me, I have both platform and flat flip-flops. I’m among those people who don’t care. 🙂
Thank you Loni. I am in the not caring camp too. The platform flip-flops keep your feet from burning up on the beach.
Sorry to hear about more surgeries.Thankfully my visit to the dentist was painless and an easy fix.
Thank you. Going to the dentist is just the worst.
Hope your surgeries improve the problems you are having with your jaw. I have never watched the show 24–but it is definitely very popular.
Thank you Estelle.
My kids got me hooked on 24. It is addicting.
Sounds like you had a lovely 1day vacation day- Love those! Hope the rest of your surgeries go well,
It was a beautiful day.
Thank you.
What a great day at the beach. Can’t believe you have 6 SIL’s!!
I hope your surgeries and all are over soon and you quickly heal and move on to wellness.
Luckily they are lovely people. Did I mention my husband is younger than all six of his sisters…
I don’t even know where to begin, this is so wide-ranging and interesting. Except to say best of luck with those surgeries, and HTF does that happen that they find stuff like that?
I am counting my lucky starts they found what they did or I would have gotten very sick. One of the advantages to a teaching hospital is the students are very thorough. The down side is they tend to be very, very slow.
NO! I haven’t gotten up to those episodes of 24 yet!! Good luck with your surgeries — sending out lots of positive thoughts — and flat flip flops always!
I’m sorry!! Let me know what you think of the episode when you get there. Thank you for the positive thoughts.
Checked with my husband, apparently he is in minority as he says he likes platform flip flops. Good thing. He is 6’6″ so I need to wear platform everything.
Wow, your husband is very tall! I like the platform flip-flops on the beach because the sand is too hot for the flat ones.
I live in flip flops. And I don’t care what anyone thinks about ’em. 😉
Just being honest. I do switch them up now and then, and I have certainly had a pair or two with wedges underneath. When I was young and they didn’t kill my feet. Now I go with comfort!
I am with you it is all about the comfort. I LOVE my flip flops, all of them.
Sounds like a you had a great day! As far as what mean think I don’t think I care. I wear Birkenstock sandals…..
I am with you I don’t care what they think either. It is all about comfort these days.
