I am blessed. I am comfortable and warm under the covers, listening to our governor on TV explaining what is being done to get the power back on for the 100’s of thousands of Pennsylvania residents who are without electricity during a storm.

They are showing video of traffic at a complete standstill because of accidents and fallen trees.

I was supposed to be in New York this afternoon. I looked forward to the trip for weeks. I was so disappointed when it was rescheduled but as I sit here watching the thousands of people out there cold and frustrated because of delays, like I said I am blessed.

My power is still on. I’m warm. I have milk and bread. We still have leftovers from the Superbowl.

While I know I am blessed, I feel stuck.  I feel like a great big tree fell across my life path and I cannot move forward.

I lost my father three weeks ago, a friend two weeks ago and one of my closest friends has no more energy to fight. I know where they are all going and without a doubt that is comforting.
