I am SO thankful for Friday Fragments right now because I feel like my head is going to explode. I have too much to think about. I am not complaining because life is good, for my family, at this moment and for this, I am grateful.
The story on this abortion doctor continues to make me cringe and cry. The trial has been graphic, which I can usually handle. Because it upsets me, so much it would be easy not to follow the story, not to pay attention. I am following because I need to understand, at least try to understand the extent people will go to, to excuse this filthy, cruel, lazy and very, very greedy man. This is NOT an abortion case. It is a murder case. It is also a negligence case. I would love to hear your thoughts on this…
Sorry but here goes another little rant. I have tried to be quiet about this issue but now it is really getting on my nerves. Middle class woman who lost children to violence surrounded President Obama the other day. My heart breaks for these families. I just HATE seeing them used as political props. I know it happens on both sides and it has been happening since the beginning of time. I would LOVE to see our President and or our First Lady standing on the streets of Philadelphia or Chicago telling the mothers there what they are going to do to keep their children from killing each other and keeping guns out of their hands.
Unfortunately, that would take hard work, REAL commitment. We are entering another election cycle so they do not have time for that. [I almost did it Sweet Brown but I am trying to be serious!] So it is easier to create some stupid legislation under the guise of gun control, get the people to support it [ even though they have NO idea what it is ] take a few guns away from law abiding citizens, pretend we all made a difference, pat ourselves on the back and move on. Shame on ALL of us for buying into the charade and double shame on all of us for not admitting out loud what the REAL issues are and dealing with them as human beings.
How is it possible I have been watching Y & R for 40 years? I am not even embarrassed about it either. They showed old clips all week and oh my goodness the memories…

My dental student told me today after some minor dental surgery that I will have 2 or 3 more appointments and then we can schedule the last jaw surgery. I’m beginning to be able to see the end of this scary journey…
I was happy to see my friend Joelle last weekend. Her doctors are happy to report at this moment she is cancer free. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her but wow, she is just blowing me away with her courage, strength and faith. Please keep praying for her, her husband [currently in Afghanistan] and their children. I believe it is working!
I am lucky enough to live in the same area as the creator of Celebrity Boxing, Damon Feldman. Unfortunately, some people around here give Damon a real hard time but the 9-0 retired champ is just trying to make a living to support himself and his family. He is having a press conference tonight to announce his plans. I am SO excited to be going and cannot wait to write about it all. I am hoping the ‘stuck ups’ in the area can lighten up a bit and let us all have some fun. I would love to see Debbie Wasserman Shultz box Sarah Palin, just saying. Who would you like to see duke it out, for charity of courseJ?
