Oh how I have missed Friday Fragments!! http://www.halfpastkissintime.com
2 weeks ago I finally got to have a book signing in my home town Barnes & Noble. I had a special visit from ‘Philly Snaps.’ They took these photo’s…
The morning after the book signing my friend Tina and I drove to North Carolina to be with our sweet friend who was recently diagnosed with cancer [I will save this for an actual post but the woman had been going to the ER and doctors for months because she was in pain and was not diagnosed until she had surgery for a mis –diagnosis and the surgeon discovered the cancer.] She is now having chemo 24/7 and radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks. If you pray please say a few for her and her family. Tina and I will be making several more trips.
I was really enjoying North Carolina’s beauty until our friends 4 -year -old got into some chiggers. I started to miss Philly about then…
Who is planning on watching the Olympics? What is your favorite sport/event? I have always loved the gymnastics. For some reason I’m not feeling it this year. I’m sure I’ll watch anyway…
I say this every year but July truly is the quickest month. I am not in any hurry to see summer end. John and I are sneaking away for a mini beach get away this Sunday and Monday. Just us, no dogs, no kiddos. We are riding down on the motorcycle. I cannot believe this will be our first bike trip of the summer. We are behind…
We just had Avery (6), Adriana (3) and Peyton (2) for the night. We are exhausted but it was well worth it, they are just so funny and cute and growing up SO fast.
What a crazy week for news. My heart is breaking for all of those victims and their families in Colorado. I am really sad for those involved with the movie too. I understand why everyone wants to bring up gun control. I get it but when are we going to do something about controlling crazy people?? Seriously, it will come out that this guy was a total nut. We cannot even say someone should have reported him because there is NOTHING you can do to control crazy people until they hurt or kill someone.
In Philly and I’m sure nationally we are dealing with the ‘Penn State’ punishment. Seriously again, the only people punished here are the students and they did nothing wrong. Why, oh why did they just not fire all of the administrators involved and board members who were seated at the time??
All I will say about the priest that got 3-6 years is he deserves to do the time for putting children at risk…AMEN!!
Some good news is our Phillies are finally winning. They have been playing like their old selves lately…
I am going to do my very best to stop by and visit all of you this week. It may take me all week…
My favorite quote this week is:
To array a man’s will against his sickness is the supreme art of medicine. ~Henry Ward Beecher
Have a wonderful weekend,
