TGIF

What a difference a week can make. We had such a great time visiting with family and enjoying the weather for Adriana’s 2nd Birthday and Memorial Day. The very next day she did not feel well. She went to see her Doctor. She said Adriana was fine. 2 days later Adriana was in Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with pneumonia. Not related to her asthma, they said. Thank God she is feeling much better and is home. They have to wait until she is well to run test to see why she keeps getting so sick. So scary….

I actually have 2 days off (so far) so I am planning to catch up on some blog reading. I intend to visit, and would love to see you too…

My father was diagnosed with lung cancer. He had a biopsy done yesterday so they could determine the stage. I am praying it is low. We should find out by Wednesday. He had an intestinal resection done in December; leg surgery last month and now this. He is in Florida and I am in Philadelphia. The distance is tough. I feel so blessed that all of my kids and grand kids are within an hour of us. I really hope it stays that way.

Onto some happier news, June 10th is my grandson Dominic’s 9th birthday. He is Adriana’s big brother. He is an amazing little guy, always serious…a thinker. He is one of those 9/11 babies. He was born exactly 9 months after that horrific attack.

Next Friday (June 17th) John and I will be celebrating our 4th anniversary. So much has happened it truly does feel like a lifetime already. I really do fall more in love with him everyday and cannot even remember what my life was like without him. We will be celebrating by getting married in our church.(We are Catholic)some day I will do a post on that. We were married on the beach; at a gazebo in the park and now the church. I am excited how lucky could I be?

The day after, next Saturday we head to the beach (the same one where we had our first date and got married the first time…the one that is the header to my blog…up there). We will not be alone. We will have 3 of our kids and lots of grand kids as well as my husbands 7 siblings and their entire families. I cannot wait to just sit on the beach and breathe, for a minute among the chaos.

If you have a chance check out my Reflections post and The Rita’s…Have a great weekend everyone:)
