I admit I have struggled with the issue of gay marriage.  As much as I hate to write it; I do not accept the idea.  The crazy thing is I believe gay people have every right to every thing everyone else has.  I believe if they want children they have every right to have them.

Some of the stories I have read have been heartbreaking.  A partner gets sick and the loved one is locked out of the hospital; the benefits and the will.  They have even lost custody of children.  This is just plain MEAN!!

I just cannot help believing it should be called a civil union.  The union should come with every single perk marriage comes with.

I believe accepting the word marriage would open the door for any and all unions.  Big Love comes to mind.  My sister wives.  The crazy woman that wants to legally adopt her monkey, as her child.  It could happen.

I am not going to apologize for the way I feel; marriage was intended for a man and a woman.

You need to create your own word and define it’s meaning.
