I finally have a day off, TGIF for real!
Friday Fragments are bits and pieces of your week that are usually brief; too short for a stand-alone post, but too good to discard. Collect humorous observations, “Heard” items, and other small gems and put them together in a Friday Fragments post. Then leave a link to your Friday Fragments post and leave a link back to Half-Past Kissin’ Time in your post.
I would love to read your fragment’s. Sign up here:

My drive home from work yesterday was a bit terrifying. It was during a thunderstorm and suddenly golf ball sized hail started pelting my car. I seriously thought my windshield would break. By the time I got home the sun was shining. Isn’t Mother Nature fascinating and frightening?
**I wasn’t moving when I created this video. There was an accident so I was just stuck there, bored and terrified at the same time. I am feeling blessed today because so many people from our area have broken windshields and dented cars.**
Mick Jagger is a Great -Grandfather. (little girl) Just Wow!
On Wednesday we had our last Press Club Event of the season. Our speaker was the Philadelphia Phillies Marketing/PR Director, Scott Palmer. He used to be a local news anchor. Being the fan I am I wore Cliff Lee’s jersey to the event.
I still have a few Press Club committee meetings over the summer. We are planning several media related workshops for the fall.
After that event I attended the annual Victorious Woman Girl Friend Gala. This is a charity, inspirational and all around fun get together created and hosted by Annmarie Kelly. The benefactor this year was the Phil-Hanna Fund which was started by friend Pam Mariani to honor her birth and adoptive mothers. (She is very cool like that.) The fund was created to support non-traditional nursing students, as an example the more mature students.
My granddaughter, Adriana will be turning five-years-old next week and a few days later my youngest grandchild, Peyton Elizabeth will be turning four. It seems like yesterday that I shared their arrivals with my Friday Fragment friends.

My last class is already next week. I decided I love being a teacher and I am hoping I am hired for the fall session. Who knew this would be something I wanted to do. Keep your fingers crossed for me and say a little prayer, please.
I will be working this Memorial Day Weekend with my elderly girlfriends so please have a burger for me. I will be praying for our military members that gave all for us and also for those that are still giving some.
Have a safe and blessed weekend!
Doreen

Those are some cute kiddos!
Thank you Loni. I tried paying them to stay babies a bit longer but they said no.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. I’m so happy you love being a teacher, I have no doubt you are great at it.
Thank you so much. So far I am loving the teaching. I hope I get hired full-time.
I think Mother Nature is PISSED!
She sure has been. We had a nice break today and went out for a motorcycle ride.
Hi Doreen … we need some teachers devoted to kids and schooling – enjoy it .. and the weather has been pretty terrible here with rain and hail storms ..
Have an enjoyable long weekend .. cheers Hilary
Thank you Hilary. We finally had some perfect weather today. We went for a long motorcycle road.
You’ve got a lot going on! I’m glad you wore the jersey and good luck with the teaching job!
