My Dad is starting the last week of his first round of radiation next week. He will then have a scan to see if the “spot” has gotten any smaller. If and I am praying that is is miraculously close to or gone…they will move onto the other spots. If those shrink he will undergo chemo. I do not want to be selfish but he is only 73. I need him a little longer. My stepmother needs him now…
My step- grandmother passed away. Last Saturday one of my clients passed away:(

So I have written a memoir. When I first started writing “BRISTOL bOYZ STOMP” seven years ago I did not know it was a memoir. I had no idea what a memoir was. I have since learned, a memoir is like looking through the window, at a particular time or place in your life that changed or altered the outcome of your life. David’s death certainly did that and much more. It is MY story. It has to do with the death of my brother and MY reaction to the events that unfolded surrounding his murder. It was a daunting task to put MY thoughts and feelings onto paper. I am quite proud of the fact that I finished. I humbly believe I have told MY story and told it well.
Look what I have:
It is not the best picture but you can see it right? I am so happy and sad all at the same time.
I have events!! They will be listed soon. Do I have any blog friends in Phoenix?
If you have not checked out the easiest contest ever click on that contest tab up there and read all about it!
If you have not watched the trailer for “BRISTOL bOYZ STOMP” it is up there in it’s own little folder also. I would love to have your comments….
We had our very first ever Delaware County Women Writers Support Group. We met at the Edgemont Country Club, in Newtown Square, Pa. and had a really good time! We already have a charity event in the works! We are looking for members if you are in the area…

Pam was our generous host and Melissa is my wonderfully talented and all around amazing forward writer. You can check her brave story out up there in its own folder too!
My favorite quote today comes from one of my favorite writers of all time.
“You change your life by changing your heart.”

Have a fabulous weekend and don’t forget to perform some random acts of kindness…idea’s…pay the bridge toll for the person behind you. Pay for a cup of coffee for someone behind you in line. Pull some weeds for your neighbor [while they are out.] And the easiest of all smile at everyone:
Doreen
