Here we are again at the threshhold of a new weekend. I cannot believe we are at the end of July. I do that. I am already dreading the cold, the snow and getting winter clothes out. I am trying so hard to remain in today. Yesterday is gone. There is not enough money in the world to bring it back. Tomorrow is not here yet. Tomorrow is full of possibilities but there is not enough money in the world to get us there now. So here we are feet firmly planted in today. I am going to make it the best day I can.
I am going to give up all the little fragments in my head and share them with Mrs. 4444 and all of my friends at http://www.halfpastkissintime.com
Then I will visit and hopefully make some new friends over at the lovely Java’s http://nevergrowingold.blogspot.com
See how busy I am already and I have not even mentioned the Crazed Fan weekend at http://theblogentourage.blogspot.com
“She Writes” the premiere site for all things writing and women is having a Blog Hopping Weekend Ball…fun!! http://www.shewrites.com
On with the fragmenting! “BRITOL bOYZ STOMP” finally has an OFFICIAL release month of November 2011. I was so upset at first because of course I wanted it to be in August or September at the latest. Everything happens for a reason right? We will be doing a soft release locally. (That sounds like fun, not sure yet what it means.) Hopefully that will begin in September.
JC, from New Pace Productions, http://www.newpaceproductions.com has created an amazing book trailer for me. He is also working on a longer sort of memorial trailer. I am going to use those as invitations to the release party. I cannot wait to see that one. My husband’s great niece did the vocals and she sounds like an angel. If you ever need a book trailer, this is the place!! JC also intoduced me to the best voice over guy. He is amazing. Check both of them out. http://www.vocalcreations.com
So, we have a trailer, a book cover, a book, an audio book, an e-book and I could just climb on top of the house and scream…YEAH!!! Then I remember the story. I get a lot sad. Then I remember my sweet brother and just know how proud he would be and I smile.

So, we are working on the final details of a HUGE did I say HUGE contest here at “They say Everyone has a Story.” We will be sharing all of our exciting news to kick start the contest. I will give you a clue; comments really matter to me. The real ones. The ones that make me smile. The ones that make me cry and especially the ones that let me know there are real people out there that want to read what I have to say. So you can start now:)
I am going to be featured over at “Women on the Verge” next week. I am enjoying my time on that site. It is full of inspiration and not just for writers. http://womenontheverge.net
I had so much fun with Rebecca Rasmussen’s interview the other day. I do not see how it is possible but if you have not read Rebecca’s book yet you can check it out here http://www.thebirdsisters.com I would like to know what you thought of the interview as well.
We have a little great nephew, only 3 months old, and my sister-in-law who are both very sick. If you pray please send one up for them. Good thoughts work too! Thank you to all of you who have been asking about my Dad. Monday he will start his second full week of radiation for his stage 3 lung cancer. He is starting to feel the effects. He is exhausted, but continues to have hope and is in good spirits. I am hoping to get a chance to visit with him soon. (He is in Florida, I am in Pa.)
Starting Monday I am challenging myself to NOT think or say one negative word about ANYBODY. That includes the awful Phillies announcers on TV and slow cashiers, slow drivers and of course relatives and friends. If I mess up I am going to write it down and continue on until I can make it a full week. I would love to have you join me and share your results with me:)
I am reading “How to break 10 Common Childhood Myths” by Diane Finkbeiner and her son Chad. I will write the review soon (when I’m done reading of course.) So far I am enjoying the reading.
Please have a fun and safe weekend!!
My favorite quote this week is actually Luke 21:15
“I will give you the wisdom to know what to say. None of your enemies will be able to oppose you or to say that you are wrong.”
