When my brother was murdered I was blessed to be put in contact with this amazing organization. The staff works tirelessly to support and advocate for victims of all crimes. They held our hands through the trial and even provided tissues. They offered counseling to help us cope. They never charge for their services regardless of financial status. They also support our communities through educational programs offered to children and adults.
Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) supports, counsels and empowers victims of sexual assault and other serious crimes in Bucks County and works to prevent and eliminate violence in society through advocacy, training, community education and prevention programs.
Founded in 1974, NOVA is a non-profit 501 (c) (3), community-based organization. Services are made possible through the financial support of federal, state, and local government grants and contracts, United Way of Bucks County, corporations, foundations, and private donations. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
NOVA Values
We believe that all individuals should be empowered to make decisions about their lives, to be secure from violation of their bodies and personal space, and to live in a society free from violence. We further believe that society has a responsibility to educate and support individuals with regard to these rights.
Therefore, NOVA will serve the Bucks County community by providing direct support to victims of sexual assault and other personal violations and advancing the rights of victims through advocacy and prevention education programs. NOVA needs your help. Our Voices Against Violence Campaign is our first-ever, major fundraising initiative to seek the capital, program and endowment resources required to continue our role as the voice for victims of crime in Bucks County. With a new home in Central Bucks, this campaign is about permanency and a place where crime victims can safely come for comfort and help, now and in the future. It is about critical new and expanded educational programs and client services that support our youth and keep them safe. It is about reaching out to those who are isolated or vulnerable, ensuring access to justice.
