Friday Favorites, Flops and Food Memorial Day Edition…

Friday Favorites, Flops and Food

I know its cliché, but the weeks seem to be floating by leaving me feeling like I’m missing something or not living life to the fullest. One of my goals for this year is to slow my days down and to be present and mindful of every minute. Another goal is to find something to be grateful for in each season.

What where your favorites and flops this past week? What did you watch? What did you eat that was fabulous or not?

Favorites

The last few weeks have been so busy. Two big fundraisers I work on all year are behind me, so this past week has been one of rest. Resting involved spring cleaning my bedroom (lol.) I still need to finish both our closets and wax the hardwood floor.

Five episodes in with Blacklist and we’re hooked.

Friday Favorites, Flops and Food

1 week = 7 days = 168 hours = 10,080 minutes = 604,800 seconds

I know its cliché, but the weeks seem to be floating by leaving me feeling like I’m missing something or not living life to the fullest. One of my goals for this year is to slow my days down and to be present and mindful of every minute. Another goal is to enjoy each season. Friday is a great day to take some time to reflect on my favorites, flops and food over the past week.

What were your favorites, flops and what was the best thing you ate this week?

Friday Flops, Favorites, and Food The Young and the Restless…

Friday Favorites Flops and Food

Friday is a great day to take a few minutes to reflect on what went right during the week, what went wrong, the best thing you ate, and what you can do to make next week better. Please feel free to write a post of your own. Let me know so I can read and comment.

Favorites: This week went SO fast!

I know that’s silly to say but honestly I’m struggling with my goal to stop and be mindful of minutes. Those moments I was able to able to be completely present for were:

The Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday.

We went to my daughter, Joan and son-in-law Dominic’s house. It felt so good to follow the little ones around and see the excitement, and pride on their little faces as they found those goodie filled eggs. It was heartwarming to see the older grandkids helping the younger ones. I was filled with memories of them toddling through the yard.

One of my goals for this year is to slow my days down and to be present and mindful of every minute. Another goal is to enjoy every season. In the past I would hibernate over the winter. I’m positive winter will never be my favorite season, but cute boots, leggings and cozy sweaters made it so much more comfortable.

A month I’d like to sleep through is April.

Friday Favorites and Flops

It’s been forever since I’ve blogged regularly, and I miss it so much.

To get back in the swing of posting on a schedule, I’m bringing back my Writing Wednesdays (anything and everything to do with writing, publishing and marketing.) and starting Friday Favorites and Flops (anything I may have heard, seen, eaten or done during the week.)

Happy Spring! I hope it’s warmer where you are.

Here just south of Philadelphia our mornings are still in the 30’s. My plants seem to be waking up a bit so the warm air must be on the way.

Fems, Food, Favorites and Friday Fragments…

Friday Fragments are the bits and pieces of your week that are usually brief; too short for a stand-alone post, but too good to discard. Collect humorous observations, “Heard” items, and other small gems throughout your week and put them together in a Friday Fragments post. Add a recipe or something ‘foodie’ from your week. Leave me a link in the comments so I can read what you’ve been up to!

As sad as I am that summer 2017 is now getting smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror, fall has not yet officially arrived here in the Northeast. There are signs it’s about to happen, like the yellow leaves on the fairie tree in our back yard. I plan to enjoy every minute of the 70 degree weather this weekend.

I am really starting to dislike the last week of the month! For some reason I am struggling to accomplish my monthly goals. Saying life gets in the way is the truth but it is a poor excuse for not managing my time effectively.

On the 3rd Wednesday of every month I attend a Press Club Luncheon. I enjoy most of the guest speakers we have but this past week our speakers were interesting and actually fun. They brought puppets; they actually design/build and operate puppets. They were cute too, the guys and the puppets!

FRIDAY FRAGMENTS

Friday Fragments are bits and pieces of your week that are usually brief; too short for a stand-alone post, but too good to discard. Collect humorous observations, “Heard” items, and other small gems (hint: a notebook is helpful) and put them together in a Friday Fragments post. Then leave a link to your Friday Fragments post in the comments…

We’ve been having the most unusually warm winter and deep in my gut I knew…it was coming.
