What do you do when your friend or loved one has cancer?

So many of you have been praying, sending healing thoughts for and asking me what you can possibly do to help my friend Joelle and her family.

I often wondered why our God gives some of us heavier crosses to bare than he gives others’.  Joelle is one such person. She has lost loved ones to violence and illnesses. Refusing to allow herself to be stuck in sorrow, she continued to be supportive and to stand by her friends, family, church, community and even complete strangers.

Team Bethenny, Healthcare, a chapel and Hotdogs…

Welcome to November, everyone and how nice it arrived on a Friday! Personally, I still want July back. That does not help with my goal of living in the moment. I need to work on that.

On most Fridays, I am visiting, reading and commenting on the blogs of some of the best virtual friends a blogger could ever have. The little group is called Friday Fragments and it was started by the oh so lovely Mrs. 4444.

Meet Sean O’Brien:The Sports Writer that Wrote a Children’s Book…

Sean O’Brien writes about Philadelphia sports. I love Philadelphia sports. That is how I first met him, virtually. I was surprised when I found out he wrote a children’s book and even more surprised when I found out the topic of the book. Sean is one of the good guys. I hope you enjoy getting to know him as much as I have.

Thanks to my friend Doreen for allowing me to write a guest blog post about my new illustrated children’s book Maddie: Teaching Tolerance with a Smile.

Casting Call, Champions of Tomorrow Series continues and Feldman is on the move…

Celebrity Boxing founder, Damon Feldman seems to have struck gold again with his latest venture, Champions of Tomorrow.

The events feature just what the name implies, the next generation of boxing greats. Damon has the knack or should I say the talent, he no doubt inherited from his well -respected father, Marty Feldman, the most qualified boxing trainer on the east coast, to put together cards with the hungriest of young boxing talent.

The first two Champions of Tomorrow events took place in a small, intimate club setting and were huge successes. With firm roots starting to take hold, it is time for this venture to move into a larger venue, perhaps a casino setting and time for Damon who is not happy unless he is juggling several big projects to help a friend in a major way.

A little trip, the beach and those damn Yankee’s..

Friday Fragments are bits and pieces of your week that are usually brief; too short for a stand-alone post, but too good to discard. Collect humorous observations, “Heard” items, and other small gems (hint: a notebook is helpful 🙂 and put them together in a Friday Fragments post.

Friday Fragments was hosted all summer by Unknown Mami (thank you so much) but they are now back in the hands of Mrs. 4444. If you have Fragmentsto share, please join us…
