A Sort of Funny Story..

Sitting here bored, I thought of the funniest story.

I’ve been wanting to write about it but haven’t had the time.

Those that know me well understand that I was diagnosed with PTSD twenty years ago, and I’ve worked hard to manage it through the years and have been successful.

With PTSD, symptoms can return full force at any time.

Writing Wednesday

Wednesday is the day I share what I’ve learned on my journey from writing, publication, marketing; and doing it all again, and again. The kind of information I wish someone shared with me back when.

Just when you thought writing the book was the hard part you were told you had to write a synopsis, then an outline, a proposal and the hardest of all a query letter. You finish all of those and breathe a big sigh of release only to find out you need to write a marketing plan.

There are three types of marketing and your plan should include all of them. Your chances of success increase when your advertising, public relations and promotions work together.

Let’s Talk about Public Speaking, Part 1 of 3

Does that statement take your breath away and leave you wanting to run back into your quiet, safe writing cave? I’m sorry but once the writing is finished, if you want someone to read the book you’re going to have to talk about it. My suggestion is to work on conquering your fear of public speaking as you write your book. Start slow.
