Foodie Friday Fragments…

What did you do all week?

Well it’s the last week of summer and I am kicking and screaming (carefully though because I’m still wearing flip flops.) What is it about fall that leaves me feeling like if I don’t move faster, I’ll be run over? My mind realizes it’s time to get back to reality, back to work but my body still wants to lie on the beach. I’m trying to get in the mood. While meeting with a client at Panera Bread the other day I ordered tomato soup. It was so good but it was still 85 degrees outside.

Twitter Pitch is Coming…

The first Wednesday of every month is officially:

Insecure Writer’s Support Group Day #IWSG

Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your writing doubts and the fears you have or have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer – a good goal is to visit at least a dozen other blogs.

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers at any stage of writing from beginner to best-seller!

Foodie Friday Fragments Conference Ready…

Friday Fragments are bits and pieces of your week, not quite big enough for an entire post but interesting. I’d love to read about your week, leave me a link in the comments…

I’ve had such a fun week. It started with a relaxing Memorial Day and is ending in New Brunswick, NJ at the #NJSCBWI Conference.

Tuesday I attended the #DevonHorseShow with friend Michelle Leonard.

She is the queen of entertaining.  She served lambchops, cheeseburgers, shrimp and the most amazing cheese and brushetta wraps. (Catered by #CapitalGrille) Of course the champagne was flowing!

I Laughed So Hard…

Women’s Health Week was May 14th to May 20th and it got me thinking about this time last year. I always schedule my annual physical with my primary physician during May. I had a list of symptoms I was definitely uncomfortable discussing with him but I knew it had to be done.

More than 65 million people have incontinence and it is three times more prevalent in women. If it’s so common why do we not talk about it with each other or more importantly why are we uncomfortable talking about it with our doctors?

Foodie Friday Fragments…

Foodie Friday Fragments are bits and pieces of your week that are usually brief; too short for a stand-alone post, but too good to discard. Collect humorous observations, “Heard” items, and other small gems throughout your week and put them together in a Friday Fragments post. Add a recipe or something ‘foodie’ from your week. Leave me a link in the comments so I can read your fragments!

The original host of Friday Fragments was Mrs. 4444’s. You can find some of those posts here: (half past kissin’ time to kiss again.)

Music Monday and Memories…

I still wonder how it’s possible that after 18-years my body knows, my subconscious remembers. It starts with my body feeling heavy. I get that awful lump in my throat and feel sick.

How does a certain song trigger our minds to recall memories, some beautiful and some so sad? Why did this song randomly play on the radio station I’m listening to today?
