Foodie Friday Fragments…
Foodie Friday Fragments are bits and pieces of your week that are usually brief; too short for a stand-alone post, but too good to discard. Collect humorous observations, “Heard” items, and other small gems throughout your week and put them together in a Friday Fragments post. Add a recipe or something ‘foodie’ from your week. Leave me a link in the comments so I can read your fragments!
The original host of Friday Fragments was Mrs. 4444’s. You can find some of those posts here: (half past kissin’ time to kiss again.)

Music Monday featuring Dskillz Harris…
Many of the happiest memories I have are filled with music. It’s like the sound is woven through each memory, holding them together.
Because music is so important to me, such a part of my life I’ve wanted to join in on #Music Monday.
My #Music Monday posts will include interviews and music from new and veteran artists from all genres of music as well as the music that has meant the most to me throughout my life.
This week I want to introduce you to Dskillz Harris. He is an 18-year-old producer/emcee from Baltimore. Dskillz is currently a freshman at Morgan State University.

I am really starting to dislike the last week of the month! For some reason I am struggling to accomplish my monthly goals. Saying life gets in the way is the truth but it is a poor excuse for not managing my time effectively.

On the 3rd Wednesday of every month I attend a Press Club Luncheon. I enjoy most of the guest speakers we have but this past week our speakers were interesting and actually fun. They brought puppets; they actually design/build and operate puppets. They were cute too, the guys and the puppets!
Monkey Boys Productions is a unique multi-medium production company that creates puppets, props, creatures, costumes, practical effects, and entertainment for film, television, and stage.

It’s #MusicMonday w/#LilEdd
I’d like to introduce you to a talented young Independent Rapper from North Carolina, Edd Rosa or ‘Lil Edd as he is known by his family and his fans.
After a failed relationship in middle school resulted in a broken heart, Edd began expressing his feelings by writing lyrics. He wrote verse after verse.

We’ve been having the most unusually warm winter and deep in my gut I knew…it was coming.

Music Monday Meet Erin McAndrew/Skeleton of Life
So many of the happiest memories I have are filled with music. It’s like the sound is woven through them, holding them together. Most of my saddest memories have music attached too. I married a DJ so he has a story for every song he hears too!
Because music is so important to me, such a part of my life I’ve wanted to join in on Music Monday posts for the longest time.

This week I want to introduce you to another newcomer, Erin McAndrew. She has a beautiful voice, grew up a few towns over and with her college band she played CBGB’s, a place that held special memories of my brother for me. I was sad to see it go. David and his Plug Ugly band- mates played there shortly before he was murdered.

Women Called the Other “C” Word…
I tried not to get sucked into the ever churning cesspool of endless social media tit -for- tat that goes on around election time. Over the last 8-years it seems to be constant. There doesn’t even seem to be a break long enough to celebrate our wins and grieve our losses.
Growing up in the Somerton section of Northeast Philadelphia, our house was the actual precinct polling place. A few days before the election our dining room furniture was moved out and the big gray voting machine was brought in. Folks started lining up an hour or so before the poles officially opened.

Halt and Catch Fire
Binge watching TV series has become one of our favorite past-times. It’s not like we become obsessive and not get dressed, eating only delivered pizza and Chinese food all weekend but we have done that a few times.
One of our latest favorites just started its 3rd season. Halt and Catch Fire airs Tuesday nights at 9:00 EST on AMC.
The show is based on the pre-internet tech drama of the 1980’s. If you remember those days you will appreciate the fashion, music and culture in this series. If you don’t remember those days but want to know what it was like prior to cell phones and laptops this series will be a history lesson.
