I only followed the last Twitter Pitch. It was amazing and trended on Twitter with thousands of tweets. This month I’m jumping in!
The next #IWSGPit is Thursday, July 19, 2018!
8:00 am – 8:00 pm Eastern Standard Time
Create a Twitter-length pitch for your completed and polished manuscript and leave room for genre, age, and the hashtag. On July 19, Tweet your pitch. If your pitch receives a favorite/heart from a publisher/agent check their submission guidelines and send your requested query.
Many writers have seen their books published from a Twitter pitch – it’s a quick and easy way to put your manuscript in front of publishers and agents.
Rules:
Writers may send out 1 Twitter pitch every hour per manuscript.
Publishers/Agents will favorite/heart pitches they are interested in. Publishers can either Tweet basic submission guidelines or direct writers to their submission guidelines. (Writers, please do not favorite/heart pitches.)
No images allowed in pitches.
Pitches must include GENRE/AGE and the hashtag #IWSGPit.

This months question is:
What are your ultimate writing goals, and how have they changed over time (if at all)?
My ultimate goals haven’t changed but the journey to achieving those goals seems to be constantly changing. I’m getting much better at not allowing those changes to frustrate me.
I’ve always wanted to write historical fiction but was sidetracked when my brother was murdered, my husband brought home an 80-year-old homeless woman and my husbands 17-year-old son died of suicide. Those were stories I was compelled to tell.
Writing those books was therapeutic and educational.
This year I’m writing my first historical fiction (which is now a series of 3) and I’m so excited. The outline is done and I’ve started research and character development. After all these years I feel like my ultimate goals are actually in reach. How about you?

Holy crap. You’re real life had a little too much excitement! Sorry you had to go through some of those things.
Wow. Your real life sounds more dramatic than most books and I know that must be very hard. Good luck with the historical writing!
My ultimate writing goal is simple and huge (and has always been the same): write a book good enough that a target reader says, “I was never interested in” or “I didn’t really like reading until I read your books.”
Ultimately, I’m only writing for that one target reader. The other readers who like my books are just going to be bonuses.
