Doreen McGettigan gave a fascinating speech, filled with interesting insights and tips for marketing written work. She also shared her experiences with the large world of blogs, tweets, networking, radio and TV appearances, and the value of reviews. Super speech, Doreen. Thanks for visiting the Mainline Writers Group. Martha Nawrocki
Once again, we are lucky to be in a community where people are so willing to share their hard-earned knowledge and success. Doreen told us about the marketing efforts she made that resulted in the runaway success of her first two books. Like any journey, there were twists and turns and Doreen showed the group her approach with marketing and the results they yielded. Thanks for a productive and informative presentation. Gary Zenker
Very good and informative meeting last night. A truly epic presentation by Doreen as I learned a lot. Thank you, Doreen and thank you too, Gary. David Maher
Great meeting, Many thanks to Doreen, Inspiring. Marian Brooks
Doreen did a fantastic job of explaining what it takes to self-promote and how she is able to use multiple outlets and resources to advance her career. Good info for all of us to know whether you use it or not. If you are serious about writing, you have to keep your avenues open. Thanks to Gary for setting up a great meeting with a great guest speaker and moderating the discussion. I love this group! My thanks also goes out to whoever made my Jewish Hoagie because it was the best meal I’ve had at Michael’s so far!
This was one of the great ones. Doreen McGettigan was better than anyone I have ever heard at making the task of promotion seem both real and achievable. Major thanks to our fearless leader Gary Zenker for guiding the discussion to give it focus, and elicit good contributions from the membership. This meeting was a good example of why I’ve chosen to be in this group for years. Walt
Doreen was terrific. So much useful info and – wow! – the stories of her journey through the writing/publishing world was – did I already say – terrific.
Excellent speaker choice, Gary. I don’t know how you do it. Never disappointed. Vince Dowdle
