Lets Talk Public Speaking/ Writing Wednesday

Writing Wednesday

Wednesday is the day I share what I’ve learned on my journey from writing, publication, marketing; and doing it all again, and again. The kind of information I wish someone shared with me when I started.

Let’s Talk Public Speaking Part 2 of 3

Have you ever stumbled for words when someone asks you what you do, what do you blog about, what is your book about? I have and it always leaves me feeling so unprofessional.

Writing Wednesday; Let’s Talk About Public Speaking…

Writing Wednesday

Wednesday is the day I share what I’ve learned on my journey from writing, publication, marketing; and doing it all again, and again. The kind of information I wish someone shared with me when I started.

Let’s Talk about Public Speaking, Part 1 of 3

Does that statement take your breath away and leave you wanting to run back into your quiet, safe writing cave? I’m sorry but once the writing is finished, if you want someone to read the book you’re going to have to talk about it. My suggestion is to work on conquering your fear of public speaking as you write your book. Start slow.

Writing Wednesday and Health Tips for Writers…

WRITING WEDNESDAY

Writing and Health

Let’s face it we writers spend a lot of time sitting and spending too much time sitting isn’t healthy. It puts us at risk for heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes, circulation issues, vein problems, back; joint and muscle pain and more. As a writer I’ve experienced and deal with several of these conditions. It’s time for me to be a healthier writer and I’m hoping you’ll join me. We’re always better together!

Friday Favorites, Flops and Food…

Friday Favorites, Flops and Food

I was unsure about seeing the Disney remake of DUMBO.

The critics and the reviews haven’t been especially kind. Another reason I was unsure was because my youngest daughter Jill saw the original animated film (1941) in the 1980’s and she was inconsolable for days. It was too sad for adults let alone children.

Writing Wednesday & The Insecure Writers Support Group…

Writing Wednesday & The Insecure Writers Support Group With the start of each new month comes the opportunity to share and encourage.

Writers can freely express their doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire are willing to help and guidance. It’s a haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

Posting:

The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day.

Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer – aim for a dozen new people each time – and return comments. This group is all about connecting!

Favorites and Flops…

Friday Favorites and Flops

It’s been forever since I’ve blogged regularly, and I miss it so much.

To get back in the swing of posting on a schedule, I’m bringing back my Writing Wednesdays (anything and everything to do with writing, publishing and marketing.) and starting Friday Favorites and Flops (anything I may have heard, seen, eaten or done during the week.)

Happy Spring! I hope it’s warmer where you are.

Here just south of Philadelphia our mornings are still in the 30’s. My plants seem to be waking up a bit so the warm air must be on the way.

The Monthly Meeting of The Insecure Writers Support Group

Welcome to the last 2018 posting of The Insecure Writers Support Group.

The purpose of this group is to share and encourage or to receive inspiration. Writers can freely express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer others assistance and guidance. It’s a safe-haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

Gosnell the Movie…

Gosnell the Movie manages to be compelling without being gruesome. If you have a pulse, you’ll feel something powerful…

The Gosnell Movie is not about abortion nor is it religious or political. In fact the original criminal case against the doctor was focused on drugs. He was running a pill mill. While searching his office Philadelphia detectives along with the FBI discovered full-term dead babies in bags and baby body parts in jars and milk cartons. They also discovered a woman in distress.
