Bike Week, Gardening, Friday Fragments, Victorious Woman Contest and the A-Z…

It seems like a long time since I’ve had the opportunity to join Mrs.4444 and the other Friday Fragmenters.  Fragments are thoughts or ideas that will not stand alone as a post so every Friday we list them. Its an amazing release and reading the other fragments is fun.  You are welcome to join us if the like. You can find the rules and instructions here:

John and I had a great time in Daytona Beach for Bike Week. It was cold but we had fun just relaxing together.

It was nice to visit with my parents, sister-in-law, nieces and nephew too. My Dad is finally gaining back some wait [he beat lung cancer last year.] He has a blockage in his leg that is concerning, he will see a specialist in April for that.

I am planning my garden and could seriously use ANY advice you might have.

My friend, the Victorious Woman [Annmarie Kelly] herself is having an essay contest. Do you have a victory to share? I know you all can write and I know you all have a story…so you might as well give it a shot. The contest opens on March 25, 2013.

Have you signed up for the A-Z Challenge. I really need to get a bunch of my posts written. I cannot believe how many are participating this year. It is amazing.

I’ve been invited to another book club, this one on Sunday. I will never get used to how good it feels to know a room full of people read my book and want to meet me. I love book clubs!

I am on my way to North Carolina this morning to visit with my friend Joelle. She had radical life saving/altering surgery a few weeks ago. Her husband had to go back to Afghanistan right after her surgery so our friend Tina stayed with her so she could recover. Tina will be coming home with me. Saturday will be a bit sad but the great news is Joelle is recovering. Thank you SO much for your prayers for her and her husband. Please keep them coming, they are working.

I may be a bit late visiting you but I will get there…

Have a beautiful weekend,

Doreen
